Well here I am in sunny but fresh Greytown, 1 hour north of Wellington on SH2. I have set to work on the upgrade of my grandfathers house. The goal is to have a new bathroom (existing is not suitable for my 74 year old grandfather, has no shower) and kitchen installed (existing one is spread across and entire room), carpet (existing flooring solution is mats, bits of old carpet and other carpet from 30 years ago, in amazing psychedellic colours), and decorate throughout (hasn't had a facelift in the entire time my grandfather has lived there, 30 yrs +), fit new and more powerpoints (there is currently 1 per room), install 'safe' heating (current heating is a dangerous and toxic gas heater) and install a ranch slider to allow the warmer elements to creep into the house and create more lighting (quite a dark house at present).
